Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about scoring, activities, groups and getting started.

What is the 365 Challenge?

The 365 Challenge is a year-long fitness challenge designed to help you stay active and consistent across the entire year. It rewards long-term consistency rather than daily streaks.

Is the 365 Challenge about exercising every single day?

No. It is not a daily streak challenge. Missing a day does not reset your progress. The aim is consistency over time, not perfection.

Do I need to use Strava?

Yes. The 365 Challenge uses Strava to automatically track eligible activities once you connect your account.

What activities count?

Most common fitness activities count, including running, walking/hiking, cycling, swimming, gym/strength training, and many other recorded physical activities. The focus is on movement and consistency.

How does scoring work?

Points are earned through active days, monthly challenges, and optional bonuses. There is a monthly cap on active-day points to encourage balance and avoid rewarding unhealthy extremes. See The Rules for full details.

What happens if I miss time due to illness, injury, or life events?

Nothing bad happens. There are no streak resets or inactivity penalties. You simply pause earning points and can get back on track whenever you are ready.

Is the 365 Challenge suitable for beginners?

Yes. Because it runs over a full year, small regular efforts add up and the challenge supports building a habit gradually.

Is it suitable for experienced or competitive athletes?

Yes. More active participants often reach monthly caps earlier and then focus on challenges, bonuses, and friendly group competition while maintaining balance.

Is the 365 Challenge free?

Yes. 365 is free for individuals and community groups. You can join and take part without paying.

How does the shop work?

The 365 shop is a member-only, UK-only print-on-demand shop for a small range of technical kit. Payments are handled by Stripe, 365 does not store card details, and production and dispatch are handled by Inkthreadable after payment is confirmed.

Can I return shop kit?

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or not delivered, contact 365 HQ with your order reference. Because kit is printed on demand, exchanges for size choice or change of mind may be limited.

Can I do the challenge with friends or a group?

Yes. You can join or create groups to compare progress and encourage each other. It is designed to be motivating rather than pressurised.

Can my club, gym or workplace use 365?

Yes. You can use 365 for free. If you want something more private, branded or tailored, we are open to discussing a partner challenge.

Do you offer branded or private challenges?

We are open to discussing this with selected organisations, clubs and gyms. Possibilities could include private groups, branded pages, custom leaderboards or a more tailored challenge experience.

Is this a competition?

Not really, unless you want it to be. While we do have points and leaderboards, the main aim is personal consistency and habit-building across the year.

When can I start?

You can join at any point during the year. Starting earlier helps, but the challenge is designed to remain motivating even if you start later.

How do I join?

Sign up on the 365 Challenge website and connect your Strava account. After that, activities are tracked automatically.
